Sloan Tackett

PERSONALLY

My name is Sloan Tackett and I am originally from St. Joseph, Michigan. After graduating from Michigan State University in 2012, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, traveling with my husband, and walking my dog Cooper. When I am not at school, I am busy fixing up the house my husband and I bought.

PROFESSIONALLY

I graduated from Michigan State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Elementary Education and Special Education. I then moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where I taught special education at the middle school level for two years. I am currently finishing up my first year teaching special education in an elementary school where I work with kindergarten- 2nd grade students. I also obtained my Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Literacy during the summer of 2016 from Michigan State University. My future plans include gaining my National Board Certification in Special Education.
